The Information and Data Protection Commissioner’s Office, as a member of the Executive Committee of the International Conference of Information Commissioners (ICIC), participated in the 7th meeting of the leadership forum of this organization.

Part of the agenda of the meeting was information on the participation of the Commissioner’s Office, as a representative of ICIC, in the activity organized by the Council of Europe within the Warsaw Conference on Human Rights. In this activity, the role and objectives of the organization were presented for the promotion of the right to information and the transparency of public authorities anywhere in the world. The Executive Committee was also introduced to the initiatives developed for September 28 – the International Day of Universal Access to Information (IDUAI), and the results of the evaluation questionnaire of the previous ICIC Conference were presented.

Earlier, the first meeting of the Planning Committee of the 15th edition of the Conference, which will be organized by the Commissioner’s Office in 2024, was held, where a summary information on the progress and measures for the development of this activity was presented Important. This international working group, composed of experts in the field of information law, has as its objective the preparation of the Conference program, as well as supporting the Albanian authority in various aspects of its organization
