The Commissioner’s Office continues training with EU experts on open data and the reuse of public sector information

The Information and Data Protection Commissioner’s Office (KDIMDP) held the next training with international experts from the TAIEX project on the effective implementation of Law No. 33/2022 “On open data and the reuse of public sector information”.

In this training session, the staff of the Commissioner’s Office gained extensive knowledge on open data, such as:

  • Identification and preparation of data for publication in open format;
  • Open data publication criteria;
  • Types of licenses;
  • Supervision of law enforcement by the Commissioner;
  • Practical presentation on managing disputes related to reuse.

In addition, during the training, the experts presented case studies and decisions based on European Union practices.

The Information and Data Protection Commissioner expressed his gratitude for the support of the European Union and the Croatian experts. Mr. Dervishi emphasized that these trainings serve the continuous improvement of the Commissioner’s work in order to implement the law as effectively as possible.

Croatian experts stated that the reuse of public sector information serves the country and society.

The training with international experts for the staff of the Commissioner’s Office contributes to the fulfillment of obligations under Law No. 33/2022 “On Open Data and Reuse of Public Sector Information”, specifically Article 19 “on the protection, supervision and promotion of the right to reuse documents under this Law.”
