After the successful completion of the training for the professional formation and qualification program of the first group of Data Protection Officers, the Information and Data Protection Commissioner’s Office, within the framework of the agreement with the University College of Business (KUB), will provide its contribution to the next training session for the next group of interested parties.
These training sessions will take place from 22-27 September 2025, with the participation of certified trainers from the Commissioner’s Office. Participants will be introduced to and will delve into topics such as: the role and responsibilities of Data Protection Officers (DPOs), the criteria that an Officer must meet, the treatment of data subjects’ rights, risk management and data processing auditing, addressing data breach cases and assessing the impact on data, understanding the notions of controller, processor, joint controller and the preparation of contracts between them, international data transfers, ethics, transparency and communication.
At the end of the training, participants will be provided with a qualification certificate.
This training comes within the framework of the new Law on Personal Data Protection, conceived and drafted in collaboration with international experts and in accordance with the European Union directives on the Protection of Personal Data. This training serves the public and private sector that processes personal data to build a professional infrastructure that will guarantee a more secure, sustainable and European standard implementation of the right to personal data protection in Albania.
