In line with its commitment to guaranteeing and promoting the right to information, the Commissioner’s Office is intensifying its efforts to increase the capacities of the right to information coordinators in public institutions.
In this context, an online training was held with newly appointed/changed coordinators from around 30 public authorities, aiming to strengthen their role in implementing the legislation on access to public information.
During the training, the legal obligations related to guaranteeing the right to information were addressed in detail, with particular emphasis on the publication and updating of the Register of Requests and Responses. Special attention was also paid to the use of the Electronic Register of Requests and Responses (REKPDI), through the pyetshtetin.al portal, as a key instrument for increasing transparency and institutional efficiency.
Through an interactive approach, based on concrete questions and discussions, participants were introduced to best practices and effective ways of implementing legislation in everyday life.
The Commissioner’s Office, in accordance with the Annual Work Program, will continue organizing periodic trainings, contributing to strengthening the culture of transparency and increasing the accountability of public authorities towards citizens.
