The Information and Data Protection Commissioner, Mr. Besnik Dervishi, together with other representatives of the institution, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Sweden to Albania, Mr. Niklas Ström, and representatives of the Swedish Embassy.
During the meeting, the importance of strengthening inter-institutional cooperation in the field of the right to information and increasing transparency in public administration was discussed. The focus of the conversation was the exchange of international best practices, increasing institutional capacities and supporting the development of more efficient proactive transparency mechanisms.
The parties also shared ideas for concrete initiatives and projects aimed at improving transparency standards, digitizing administrative processes and strengthening public information management.
In conclusion, the importance of continuing cooperation and concretizing the ideas discussed through joint projects was emphasized, in support of transparency, accountability and good governance.
