The Information and Data Protection Commissioner’s Office hosted a group of representatives from civil society organizations as part of the “NGO Exchange Program”. The focus of this meeting was to familiarize participants with the role and functions of the institution and to foster active citizens and stakeholder participation in public authority decision-making process.

The participants in this meeting were from new associations/organizations that are headquartered and operate in Berat, Korçë, Elbasan or Tirana. The “NGO Exchange Program” is an initiative by Partners Albania, aimed at supporting and empowering the civil society sector, particularly local organizations. Through collaboration with public institutions and study visits, the program seeks to strengthen the capacities of NGO’s to properly address the issues of citizens or interest groups.
