In his opening remarks, in his capacity as President of ICIC, Commissioner Dervishi welcomed the participants and presented an overview of the agenda. He placed particular emphasis, inter alia, on the ICIC Annual Conference and the significance of this year’s theme, which will focus discussions on information integrity.

The Commissioner underlined that:

“Across the world, we are confronted with challenges such as disinformation, declining public trust, and rapid digital transformation. As Information Commissioners, we bear the responsibility of ensuring that the public information is accurate, reliable, and accessible.”

Subsequently, acting in its capacity as the Secretariat, the Commissioner’s Office presented to the members of the Executive Committee the work processes carried out during the reporting period.

Furthermore, the members were informed of the report, of the previous Conference held in Berlin, and it was agreed that the report shall be published on the official ICIC website.
