Mr. Besnik Dervishi – Information and Data Protection Commissioner

Mr. Besnik Dervishi has served as the Information and Data Protection Commissioner since his appointment in 2014, following with his re-election in 2019.

He is a graduate of the Law Faculty of Tirana University since 1986. He also had roles as a Member of Parliament and Minister.

Mr. Dervishi has contributed to the domestic legislation reform on the right to information and the protection of personal data, ensuring alignment with European Union legal framework and international acts.

Furthermore, Mr. Besnik Dervishi lectures at the University level and the School of Magistrates.
